How do I use my pod the first time?
Remove the Pod from its carrying bag. Let it untwist and pop open. Unzip and unfold the side panels and pop open. Stand up in vertical position. Finally, give the Pod some air time while cleaning clear plastic with a microfiber cloth.
The wires on my pod are twisted. What should I do?
This is normal and goes away with use. To straighten, open your Pod and lay it flat, making sure the wires lay flat. You may step on the wires to flatten. Once the Pod’s popped up, check the wires again and straighten by hand or flipping if needed.
What do I do if a zipper seems stiff and isn’t working smoothly?
This is normal for new Pods. Zip and unzip a few times to loosen. If the zipper separates slightly, hold the Pod firmly and push the zipper up and down a few times. For a larger Pod, pinch the zipper and plastic together when zipping around corners.
Why is my plastic wrinkly?
When Pods are folded down or stored the panels might appear wrinkled when first opened. Try setting up your WeatherPod up in the sun for a few hours. The heat from the sun can greatly reduce the wrinkles and also makes zipping easier.
Can I put a heater in my WeatherPod?
NO! This is a potential safety hazard. Do not use matches, candles, heaters or allow open flames of any kind in or near the WeatherPod. Do not smoke in or near your Pod.

Good concept, but needs work if advertising for the disabled. The company will not work with you if there is an issue if purchased on Amazon with returning the item either. Buyer beware.

The Chairpod solved all these issues. It’s warm, dry, and covers both me and the wheelchair. The window zippers are quite easy to use. It doesn’t cover my lower legs, but I don’t have much feeling there anyway. Someone else would probably want to use some kind of rain suit to keep that area dry. Chairpod adds almost no width to my power chair, so I can still go through regular doorways.
The belt buckle on the vertical strap that is supposed to hold onto the back of the chair it’s too hard for me to use so I often just skip that. It doesn’t seem to make any difference, I think because my chair arms are pretty long So the chair part is stretched out and fits quite tightly anyway. I do have my helper take it off and fold it up before I go in a store or get on paratransit, and that process is a little slow but doable.
I wish it was just a little easier to get out of by myself and that the belt buckle didn’t require so much grip strength, but all in all I’m really happy with it.

I would NOT recommend it for power wheelchairs, I bought it for that purpose and it goes over the chair easily, comes off easily but there are some difficulties with it.
One, you need to hold it at the bottom or a good wind blows it off.
Two, it is very difficult to fold on your own, almost impossible.
So yes I recommend it if you plan on using it while you are watching a parade or some event.
I don't recommend it for driving around in a power wheelchair, it is just too difficult to deal with.
The video the company shows of someone putting it on and off, then folding it back to put back in the bag on a power wheelchair isn't helpful because it shows an able bodied person standing while working with it.
